April 2006 update!
It's been awhile, but we're back! Great news, in June 2006, Ron will be Europe- Paris, France; London, England; and Slovakia for several great shows! A special thanks goes to Zdenek Roh and Ralph Schut for putting together what will be the best European band we could ask for! Please check back often as we update this as we get more info!


2005 News

The Puckett's Show went extremely great- be checking back for pictures from that show soon! Thanks for all of the band and special guests for making it so cool!

Ron Rigsby & Co. is scheduled to play a show at the super cool Puckett's After Hours in Historic Downtown Franklin on Saturday, April 16. This will be one great show with lots of special guests. You don't want to miss this one! The fantastic Dinner will start at 7PM and the show itself will start at 8:30PM. Celebrate tax season being over with Ron @ PAH!

Ron had a great trip out to Los Angeles for The Grammy's, and although they did not win, Ralph II, his wife Kristi, and Ron all had a great time and look forward to going again and bringing home the award next time!

Everything has been going great for Ron lately as he is waiting to head off to Los Angeles on February 12 to attend the Grammy's! He has been busy with his company, R J Rigsby Enterprises, Inc. and has been travelling a lot to tend to business.

Ron had a great time at SPBGMA this year and we will be updating more about his time at the convention very shortly- so check back soon!

Big news for Ron! Ralph Stanley II's project Carryin' On has been nominated for the Best Bluegrass Album for the 47th Annual Grammy Awards! It just so happens that Ron produced the album in his studio Brickshy Audio! Needless to say Ron is extremely excited about it- and about attending the awards! So make sure to vote and keep us in your prayers! The show itself will air Sunday, February 13, 2005 on CBS at 8 Eastern/7 Central PM, but in the meantime check out the Grammy website for the complete nomination list.


2004 News

Check out the December 2004 issue of Leiper's Fork Life for an up close and personal interview with Ron written by good friend Mimi Johnston. You can get Leiper's Fork life at local libraries, bookstores, and other various stores throughout Williamson County, but you can read the interview right here.

We're back after a brief break! Ron has made it back from Ireland and really enjoyed his trip. Right now Ron has been primarily in his studio producing and pickin' with various artists. We will have some detailed updates on that soon.

We are in the process of going through all the pictures that Ron took while on his trip to Ireland, so please come back soon- we will be posting them shortly!

Well, Ron has made it safely to Ireland, and he is loving every minute of it! He says he has be doing some really cool stuff and getting some awesome pictures, so check back soon and get ready for some great Ireland stories and pictures!

Ron wants to say a special thanks to all of the great folks from the Puckett's After Hours private event from Tuesday, September 28. He had a blast and really loved playing with Ricky Ray Rector and Danny Flowers. "What a great crowd!" he said regarding the event. He also wants to say a thank-you to Uncle Lester for doing a little dancing for everyone- and for wearing those special shoes of his!

Ron will be heading to Ireland on September 30 through October 6, 2004. Ron will be joining his brother Don's band, Don Rigsby & Midnight Call, for this special engagement. Last year Ron went overseas to Slovakia for Dobrofest with Randy Kohrs. He enjoyed his trip to Slovakia and the surounding areas and is looking forward to this trip to Ireland. Make sure to check back in mid October for updated Ireland pictures!

The Homer Dever band had a great turnout on September 11, 2004 at the first annual Hillbilly Woodstock in Leiper's Fork, TN. The whole band had a blast with dressing up and seeing all the hillbillies and hippies in the lively crowd. Check back soon for updated Hillbilly Woodstock pictures!

Ron wants to say a special howdy to Jerry and Arlene Sloan, from KY. Jerry and his wife Arlene have become great friends of Ron and his family. It just so happens that Jerry is the best Banjo setup guy ever, and Ron had a banjo blowout at his last gig with Leah, but fortunatley Jerry fixed Ron's Gibson and made it sound better than before it had the blowout! Ron keeps telling Jerry he needs a website, but until he gets one if you or anyone you know needs to get your banjo setup then email us, and we'll give you Jerry's contact info.

As you can see we are just getting started with the news section, so please check back often. Ron is quite busy so it won't take long to have this section filled up completely!

2006 Upcoming Shows

April 29, 2006 - Leiper's Fork Lawnchair Theater- O' Brother Where Art Thou, Costume and Dancing - with The Homer Dever Band- everything begins at 6 PM, come on out and have some fun in Leiper's Fork!

June 3, 2006- Morehead, Kentucky - Bluegrass and More - with Ron's writing partner, Alan Laney, along with Rusty Gregg and Chris Williamson which makes up the new band Chattahooche
